We offer Africa startup funding for healthcare innovations
A Support Team For Healthcare Innovators
We select companies that create solutions for people living in poverty in both rural and urban locations who lack quality affordable healthcare. We work with talented innovators who have brilliant ideas and help them get their product or service to market and secure African startup funding.

WHAT WE OFFER
When innovators join the Villgro Africa incubation program, here’s what to expect:

Ecosystem building
Interlinking with academia, government and the private sector to collaborate on go-to-market partnerships that allow innovators to thrive.

Market entry support
Supporting global health innovators who want to enter new markets in Africa.

Mentoring
Providing high-touch mentorship relationships, tapping into our extensive network to find the right mentor-mentee fit.

Customised technical assistance
Bolstering internal capacity by embedding our portfolio managers.

Seed Capital
Leveraging our funders to offer direct, patient capital to Villgro portfolio companies, de-risking them to unlock follow-on funding.
Startups can apply to join Villgro Africa’s portfolio and receive Africa startup funding from $20,000, along with business development advice and access to further investment opportunities. We have a preference for scalable and sustainable models led by a multidisciplinary team with a minimum viable product.
Meet Our Mentors
Our mentoring team brings a coaching mindset coupled with deep expertise in a range of industries, from biomed and finance to information technology, entrepreneurship and engineering.
